 Experience quinceanera excursions by land and by sea
Celebrating a quinceanera in style with family and friends can make that special day even more exceptional. And finding the best location for the festivities is essential. Besides a hotel banquet room or hall, there are other spectacular options which include traveling to a magical theme park resort or exotic locales.
Happiest quinceaneras on earth
The Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, Calif. (cq) has been creating quinceaneras fit for a princess for the past four years. The quinceaneras started by girls coming here to take photos in our gardens, says senior publicist of publicity and sales function planning Betsy Sanchez.
Since then, the concept has grown into something much bigger. Girls wanted to participate in having some form of a ballroom or an enchanted area where they can have their dreams come true, says Sanchez.
Enthralling quinceanera themes have included Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast and other Disney stories. The evening can include a visit by the girl's favorite character as well.
Young princesses can also arrive to their party as royalty in Cinderella's Crystal Coach.
The choices are endless. Our goal is to create the theme, says catering and convention services manager Gabriella Peralta. (cq) “Once she walks into that room and depending on which princess is her favorite character, we will re-create that theme in that room.â€
The Disneyland Resort's events are held at the Disneyland Hotel, Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel and Disney's Grand Californian Hotel. (cq) Prices start at $65 per person or $7,500 minimum food and beverage purchase. Reservations can be made up to six months in advance.

MK Tours in Coral Gables, Fla. offers 7-day oceanic quinceanera voyage packages during the summer with Carnival and Royal Caribbean cruise lines. (cq) Both ships set sail to the Eastern and Western Caribbean islands and depart from Miami, Fla.
Carnivala's Triumph travels Cozumel, the Grand Cayman Islands (cq) and Ocho Rios. (cq) While the Valor sails to Belize Roatan, Cozumel and the Grand Cayman Islands.

MK Tours provides quinceanera rehearsals with choreographers and a fashion show prior to departure. We do fashion shows so they can see the dresses and then from there they can rent them out if they would like, says quinceanera director and event coordinator Maggie Fouce.
The itinerary features a welcome party, the gala (quinceanera) and a farewell fiesta. The welcome party has a theme, says Fouce. They can wear Hawaiian, have a pajama party or do whatever.
The girl also receives a commemorative T-shirt and souvenirs such as the event candles and champagne glasses.
Cruise ship quinceaneras are $235 each (videography is required). Prices are per person and do not include port charges. Pre-paid gratuities are $70 per person. Fees and availability are subject to change. Advance booking (one year) is recommended.
MK Tours also offers 7-day charter plane quinceanera trips with Sky King (cq) during June and July to the Barcelo Bavaro Palace (cq) resort in Punta Cana, (cq) Dominican Republic. It's a private resort and has a small train that takes you everywhere, says Fouce.
quinceaneras are held in the resort's convention center and include the same choices as the cruise ship packages.
Punta Cana quinceaneras are $569 each (videography is required). Prices are per person. Departure taxes and service fees are $147.30 per person. Fees and availability are subject to change. Advance booking (one year) is recommended.
