It seems like we tend to eat more during the holidays, and this could become a problem if we don't watch it, especially if we get fitted for our Quince gown before the holidays. The eating of sweets and higher calorie foods usually starts at Halloween and goes through New Years.
So, if you've already started to gain weight, don't worry, there is still a way to go back in
the other direction. My first secret is to, drink water instead of soft drinks until the New Year. This one trick alone will save you about 300 calories per soda, and making this change will also help you avoid bloating. In addition, drinking more water also helps in the digestive process, which helps us avoid even more unneccesary weight gain.
Parties also mean higher calorie snacks, but there is always the good old veggie and ranch tray option, so munch on that instead. If you just can't resist the sweets, just limit yourself and really watch the portion size.
Lastly, don't forget to stay active during the holidays. I know sometimes it is too cold to go outside for a walk, but go to the mall and walk or put on an exercise DVD at home, and keep moving! These three small tips can help you avoid having to alter your Quince dress, especially if your Quince is coming up at the beginning of the year. Good Luck!
