Gracias!Posted by Sammi in turkey, Thanksgiving, gratitiude |

Hopefully, food is not all we will think about this Thanksgiving, because after all this is the time of year to give thanks for all the wonderful blessings in our life. Most of the time when we reflect on what we are grateful for, we think about the big things like health, family and friends. This Thanksgiving I challenge you to think about some of the smaller things in your life that you may often times take for granted.
I myself am grateful of course for those big things I mentioned above, but some of the little things I am thinking about this Thanksgiving are; the ability to get powerful flowing warm showers every morning. Water shortages are abundant all over the world and even in some cities in the U.S. How about the lady that makes sure my kids get across the crosswalk safely every morning on their way to school. She is there no matter what the weather is like with a big smile on her face as she directs traffic and kids with her whistle and big red metal stop sign.
And, I can't forget my dog Fluffy that I rescued just three years ago at this time of the year. She has become my best buddy and because of her, I have lost 15 pounds just by taking her on her twice a day walk. I can go on and on about all the things I am grateful for, all I have to do is look around and there are so many things big and small that all of us can be thankful for each day. I truly hope you take the time to think about the simple things you are thankful for this Thanksgiving, and if pumpkin pie with whipped cream is on your gratitude list too, well that makes two of us!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Sammi
