i have wanted a quince sence i was a little girl so bad. i always imagined how special the day would be. i turned14 in enero y mi padre dice we should start planning your quince. then my parents divorced all are money disappeared and i cannt have a quince. that really crushed me, for i always dreamed of the expirience. just to think about quinces puts med in tears. i would do anything for it. even tho it hurts i lways find myself searching quince dresses and wishing i could choose one. im jelous of all who get to expirience there own quince buenas suertes.

Hi my sweet 15 is next year in August I started out with a list of 300 and Now is down to 125 because I decided to have a party with my closest friends and family and then go on a cruise must of the damitas will be going with me on the cruise which I think is cool. My parents decided to do the party in Puerto Rico thats where we are original from but live in NOrth Carolina. My theme is Mystical Fairies and My colors are Lavender, purple, blue and Silver, but I still can't decide if all the girls should have the same color or should I contrast the colors. Ladies, It's not a wedding, it's a quinceanera. Give me a break, champagne glasses? Stretch limos? I had a beautiful quinceanera. Me and 14 girls. 200 guests. Mass with a priest who knew me, so what he said was about me, not some generic thing he wrote. My padrinos (one set, not 25 sets of padrinos to pay for a party my parents coud not afford), escorted me out of the church with my parents. Get this, I rode to the reception hall with my parents! My waltz was with my dad and my abuelo with the girls holding hands around us in a circle. We did spend money on a photographer. I did have some flowers at the church that I took to the hall, but other than the bouquet for the Virgen, none of us carried anything other than a single rose in, and all the girls gave me their roses at the altar so I wound up carrying a bouquet of fifteen. My dress did not have all the jewels on it, it was very simple, I did wear a small hoop so it would look like a ball gown. If you have a wedding at fifteen, you will be sadly disappointed when you can't top it when you are older. Get a grip, and remember what counts!

This was not helpful at all! I'm 2 months away from my quince and I'm bearly getting my doll and guestbook. I ordered my dress in January, I still haven't given the full deposit for my banquet hall! I have to say this was very helpful to me.. I'm planing my daughter's quiceanera for May 3, 2008 @ a very nice Hotel.. but i started the planing since the month on August, even when we had a budget i have to say we went over that a long time ago.. for all those girls and parents that in the plans of their daughter quinces just start early pay each month as you were making a car payment.. see now i'm almost done with everything and i still have 2 months left.. i wish the best to all the girls andgot to say every girl should have their quince and it doesnt matter how big or little your party could be, but rather the effort and time that you and parents put in to is what counts the most.. And for your girls dresses if it is candy themed, you could have your girls where a different color of dresses either all the same design or different dresses, what ever colors are going to be in your decorations. And for your decorations if you have post in the your hall you can make with cellophane paper big candies just wrap round or oval shaped foam and wrap the cellphane on each end to look like candy.

Berenice, 2 1/2 months is really really cutting it close. Are you having a Mass for your Quince or just the party. If mass you better get down to your church to see if they will even allow you to have a mass you need alot of preparation for that. And are you planning on having your quince at a dance hall or at home (I guess depending on where you live) Halls are usually rented 12 months in advance, so you better figure out what your budget is and go see if you can find a hall if not and weather permitting you could rent a Tent (like for Weddings) and have it either in your backyard if big enough. i fl wat all youz guyz are saying because ths list does hav a lot of extra stuff tht isnt really necessary but at the sm tm its jus a guide. u dont need to follow evrythng on here. i hav a low budget but i found ths guide vry helpful. all i did was crossed out the stuff tht i didnt need such as using planners and thngs lk tht. i used ths guide to kp me on track timewise which it was really good for cuz evrythng was spelled out month by month. u gotta remember tht ths is jus a general guide nd its not gonna b personalized to each case, its better to hav mr than wat sum ppl r gonna need so they can jus scratch it out than to hav to little nd ppl not kno wen to gt certain thngs dun. u jus gotta b flexible.

I think it was help full because at first I didnt have no clue on how to plann it but at the same time I think that having an a quinceanero is vrery dificult but thats what i always dreamed of and I finally had it

yea its helpful but i dont have such a high budget to do all of the stuff it says...and plus i just started planning it like a month ago my bday is on march 6, 2008....ill be 15 then...but i just started planning it...im going to rent a club and so it has all of the light systems and everything and the dj's space....and i alrady have a dj b/c my friends stepdad's one...but then like i dont really want my parents to spend a lot of money on this...the rooms gonna be 500$ dollars and my dad said that was kool and cheap...and then i dont want to have 7 couples...i want to have me and my couple and 4 more...we're gonna get a ride from my house to the party place...ofcourse after all of the ppl i invited are there...im not gonna have a choreagraphy in argentina we dont do that..we just dance the waltz(sp?) but yea...so i need HELLLLLLPPP!!! i dont know how to start and i think about this everyday!!! im having the party on march 8, 2008 though...please someone help me!

You might not feal very latina ,but the latin blood is running threw your viens. You should def have a Quinceanera. I am having both. Soy Chicana. Pero it's okay to do both. I am going to use the things from my Quince for my sweet 16. Write comment
