 Un Salto De Fe Religión siempre ha desempeñado un papel dominante en la celebración de la quinceañera; la muchacha está creciendo en su fe y está tomando un papel más grande en su comunidad religiosa, así como su comunidad social. Se celebra la "Misa de acción de gracias,” donde la muchacha expresa su gratitud a su familia y amigos para su amor y ayuda. También presentan la muchacha a su parroquia como nuevo miembro de la comunidad adulto. Mientras que la misa básica no cambia, hay algunos elementos adicionales. La corte del honor y la quinceañera entran en un processional. Las muchachas pueden tener una ceremonia corta de la coronación, con la madre de la quinceañera o la madrina colocando una tiara en ella. Algunas entran ha la iglesia cargando su "muñeca ultima," un regalo significando dejando la niñez, que intercambian para un ramo de flores antes de tomar su asiento del honor para la misa. Las Bendiciones Compartidas El sacerdote discute virtud y la fe durante la misa, relacionando las lecturas de la Biblia con la nueva posición de la muchacha y las responsabilidades en su comunidad de la iglesia. Eligen a los parientes y a los amigos cercanos para leer los pasos de la Biblia. El sacerdote bendecirá una Biblia, el rosario y otros regalos que se darán ha la jovencita durante la fiesta mas tarde. Rebeca Cruz: Like MentorMarge said, this is all about you, and unless he has a very good reason your stepfather has no place to speak concerning your father. Your father is your father, and he will always be whether or not your stepfather likes it. Talk with your mother, a brother, or a sister who will back you up and bring him or with you when you have to discuss the situation with your stepfather.

To Rebeca Cruz: Obviously you will need to be the "adult" in this situation; tell your stepdad to stop acting like a child, that this is not about him, and that your father is a part of your life whether he likes it or not. Better yet, discuss it with your mother first and have the both of you have this conversation with him. His insecurity needs to be addressed now or else it will come up in other situations, like your graduation. Lesson: Stay away from boys who are insecure or else they will want to run your life!
