My theme was Beauty and the beast. I didn't even notice the theme till i was looking at the pics . Everything was in golden tones, and I had wooden roses that had a picture of me as a baby, symbolising my change from a girl to a young lady. |

My dress was gold and it was inspried by a Maggie Sottero wedding dress. It was really hard to convince my mom of getting this dress made for me because she wanted a traditional pink dress, but since im not a pink kind of girl my dad and i finally convinced her of letting me get it. My favorite quince accesory would have to be my tiara, it wasn't a traditional one, it was round with gold flowers and pearls . |

My Favorite Quince Songs:
I had a variety of songs that represented who I am, I included my ethnicity,and my personality, as well as the personalities of my court.
As I made my grand entrance I had the song "Quincearena" playing as I walked in I tired really hard not to burst into tears when I saw everyone standing up and looking at me, clapping for me. This song ment a lot to me because it was saying that I was changing which is true because I have noticed many changes in me. Since I am daddy's little girl our father daugther dance was "Because you loved me " by Celine Dion. This song made me cy when I was dancing with my dad because we're really close and the song was true, as I danced I cried even harder when I saw glimpes of my chambelanes on the verge of tears because they were so close to me one of them even jokingly called me his daugther, and he teared up . It was a really emotional moment.Then I had the waltz with my cort those were all instrumental and started off slow to represent my shyness and by the last two my personally showed and the songs were bouncy and upbeat. After dancing the waltz ity was time for the bailes sorpresas.What no one suspected was that I would show my heritage my dancing punta with my dad it was great no one had seen me dance punta, then I dance with my guys to Kumbia kings which included a couple of lifts, then it time for my bubbly personaly to show when my friends and chambellanes danced to "You're the one that i want " and "We go together" from Grease. Everyone was saying that they had never seen a quinceanera with so much dancing..I was so happy. |

About My Quince:
My quince was actually on my birthday..It was a day very memorable to me . I got to see people that ment a lot to me and theat i had not seen in a long time. I don't come from a religious family so I chose not to have a misa, instead all my chambelanes came to my house which is like an hour away from where most of them live, and we went bowling. The looks we were getting from people were hilarious, all of them were in their tuxes, and I was in my dress, but it was so much fun. For my quince my parents and I chosed that I would just have chambelanes, but also a dance with some of my close girl friends ..My chambelanes all ment something to me some of them I have known almost my entire life, and some for a couple of years but I was really close to them, one of them was my boyfriend at the time, even though were not together he means a lot to me.I had many dances because to represent who I really am. When people saw me they were awestruck, I hated wearing dresses before my quince and now I love showing off a girly side, no one expected me to come out in a really puffy dress and in the colormine was. People always looked at me as the shy girl always in the background who at parties wouldn't dance, but when they saw me on the dancefloor that all changed, i finally came out of my shell, leading to my nickname "georgie" for the bubbly and random things I do now.Um the party was great I got tospend timewith my friends,I came out of my shell, and i was the center of attention it was a great day. |
